Corey Ray is a Chicago native deeply committed to his community, combining his passion for sports and education throughout his life. A standout athlete at Simeon Career Academy, he went on to play baseball at the University of Louisville before being drafted 5th overall by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2016 MLB Draft. He earned multiple accolades, including 2018 Brewers Minor League Player of the Year and Southern League MVP, and made his MLB debut in 2021.

Corey later transitioned to coaching, now serving as a professional coach with the Chicago Cubs organization in Arizona. Corey exemplifies a strong commitment to community service and civic engagement through his active involvement in the following initiatives:

  • Founded the Raygang Baseball Clinic in 2018

  • Participating in USA Baseball clinics

  • Partnering with the Jackie Robinson Little League to mentor youth fostering athletic and personal development.

Beyond baseball, Corey values education—returning to school to complete his degree—and enjoys family life with his wife, children, and dog. He is an avid reader, especially of author Adam Grant, and remains connected to his roots in Chicago through church and family visits.
