November Observances

November brings a full calendar of observances and events. Clocks fell back an hour as daylight saving time ended on Sunday, November 1. On Tuesday, November 3, Election Day gives us a chance to take part in our democracy through one of its most powerful tools: the vote. On Wednesday, November 11, Veterans Day honors all who have served in the U.S. Military, both living and deceased.
Throughout the month, we also recognize several important causes. Native American Heritage Month honors the histories, cultures, resilience, and contributions of American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Movember, a global charity event held each November, raises awareness and funds for men’s health issues. National Adoption Month highlights the importance of safe, loving, and permanent families for children in foster care, and this year’s theme is “Honoring Youth: Strengthening Pathways for Lasting Bonds.”
We close the month with Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26, a time for family, friends, and communities to gather, share a meal, and give thanks for the blessings of the past year.
Whether your November is full of activity or a chance to rest, we hope it offers something meaningful for you.
