Ken Berry

Volunteer Spotlight Through The Years

We are proud to honor two extraordinary individuals whose dedication to service and community empowerment has made a profound and lasting impact Ken Berry.

Ken Berry is the embodiment of resilience, compassion, and service. As Winston’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Pro Bono Administrator, Ken’s professional journey is deeply rooted in his personal mission to uplift others—especially those impacted by the justice system.

After spending five years wrongfully incarcerated, Ken’s life changed when Winston attorneys took on his case, leading to his release in 1999 and exoneration in 2000. Not long after, Ken joined the firm as a paralegal, turning a painful past into a powerful purpose. Since then, he has devoted his life to paying it forward.

Whether mentoring young men through Saint Sabina’s round tables, serving on the board of the John Howard Association, or chairing the nonprofit Reading Between the Lines, Ken never stops giving back. Monarch Awards Foundation is especially proud to count Ken among its volunteers.

Since 2005, Ken has participated in our Annual Thanksgiving Community Feeding event, helping distribute turkeys and food to families in the Englewood community. His consistent presence and dedication to service over the last 20 years have made a lasting impact on those we serve.

We are honored to celebrate Ken for all he does to make our community stronger, more compassionate, and more just.
