If you love being in the room where it happens, and you joined us on Saturday, June 7 at Christ Universal Temple, you witnessed the magic firsthand. In honor of Black Dollar Days, building economic empowerment and Black Liberation Month, we hosted our third “Elements of Taste” Food Truck Festival, in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®- Xi Nu Omega Chapter, and Christ Universal Temple, Christ Universal Temple.
From mouth-watering food trucks and dynamic local vendors, a classic car showcase, live music, face painting, line dancing, and resource booths, every element of the festival reflected the vision, energy, and dedication of our commitment to supporting Black businesses.
We extend heartfelt thanks to our valued partners, sponsors, vendors, and you—our beloved community—for showing up and showing out!
A special thank-you goes to State Representative Justin Slaughter, City of Chicago Alderman Ronnie Mosley (21st Ward), City of Chicago Alderman William Hall (6th Ward), Chicago Police Commander Karla E. Johnson (District 6), and the dedicated servicemen and women who continue to support local initiatives and community empowerment.
Together, we are building stronger communities—one celebration at a time.
