Today we celebrate the seventh and final day of Kwanzaa–Imani (Faith). We honor the faith we have in our people, our families, our communities, and the collective power we hold to create meaningful change.
Kwanzaa is an annual, non-religious seven-day celebration of African American and Pan-African culture and aims to reconnect people of African descent with their cultural heritage and communal values, family and community created in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga. Our very own Vice-President and Program Chairman Sydney L. Adams was featured on Fox 32, ABC 7 Chicago and NBC 5 Chicago on the first day of Kwanzaa. Malcolm X hosts its annual Kwanzaa celebration December 26-January 1.
As we step into a new year, we carry this spirit forward, believing deeply in our mission, our impact, and the bright future we are building together
