Founded in 1897, Hephzibah Children’s Association has an esteemed history of caring for vulnerable children and families in need. With a focus on keeping children safe by strengthening, healing, and keeping families together, we provide prevention and intervention child welfare services to 1,700 children and families throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Semicolon Books is a Chicago-based, Black woman-owned bookstore and gallery that celebrates literature, art, and community. Known for its bold approach to literacy and culture, Semicolon blends storytelling with social impact-using book sales to fund literacy initiatives like, Clear the Shelves, which has donated tens of thousands of books to Chicago students.
