This June, we’re encouraging the community to support Black-owned businesses through our partner’s Black Dollar Days initiative. Centered around economic empowerment and intentional community investment, Black Dollar Days will feature Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Pink Fridays throughout the month of June with the call to action: Wear Pink, Spend Green, Buy Black.
Each week will spotlight different categories of Black entrepreneurship while encouraging community members to intentionally shop, dine, and invest locally:
• Week 1 – “Savor the Flavor”: Food & Beverage
• Week 2 – “Polished, Pampered, & Powerful”: Beauty, Wellness & Self-Care
• Week 3 – “Secure the Bag”: Financial & Professional Services
• Week 4 – “Style with Substance”: Fashion, Accessories & Home Décor
