Community Expo featuring The Music and Arts Explosion


The Community Expo featuring the Music and Arts Explosion is an annual back to school family event held in August offering free backpacks filled with school supplies, free haircuts, immunizations, dental exams  and a variety of entertainment. 



The Music Arts Explosion exposes the community to a variety of local artists including musicians, poets, dance troops, and so much more.



In 2006, the Music and Arts Explosion was expanded to include a variety of services to support various needs of the community which included health screenings, home ownership information, financial education, CPR training and educational enhancement support.






Signature Programs

Teen Esteem Program

The Teen Esteem Program is designed to enrich the lives of young ladies in high school. Established in 2001 to address some of the personal and social challenges of young ladies that are not always addressed through their academic institutions. The inaugural class of Teen Esteem was composed of fifteen young ladies attending metropolitan Chicago public and private high schools. Teen Esteem seeks to develop leadership skills, cultivate self-awareness, self-esteem and to promote civic service.
