In 1983, the inaugural “A Tribute to Black Men” gala honored 12 distinguished Black men for their outstanding contributions and accomplishments. Since its inception, "A Tribute to Black Men" has honored 358 unsung heroes who have made outstanding contributions to society through their professions, civic or community service.
